Designation of Origin Rías Baixas

Denominación de Origen Rías BaixasRias Baixas is one of five existing designations of origin for wine in Galicia, founded in 1980 as a specific and recognized name in 1988 as a designation of origin.

This designation is the largest production of Galicia. It is divided into five divisions: Val do Salnés, Condado do Tea, El Rosal, Sotomayor and Ribera del Ulla. The albariño grape varietal is its most recognized production.
The wine produced is white, low-ranking without raising. It is mainly exported to all areas of the Spanish market to Europe and America.
