The Pazo As Barreiras is located in the upper part of Salvatierra de Miño and was built at the beginning of the 17th century. It was destroyed in the border wars with Portugal and rebuilt for the first time in 1677. Since then it has undergone numerous reforms and reconstructions until the present time. The vineyard of the farm As Barreiras, of perfect orientation, grows on a fertile land of argillaceous formation, mixture of silt and boulders, proof that it was formerly bed of the River Miño. It produces exclusively white grapes of the Albariño variety. The Condado area, with an Atlantic climate, with rains distributed throughout the year, favors a wine of moderate graduation between 12.5 and 13.5% vol, low acid and very aromatic.
